ACHE (Air cooled Heat Exchanger) DESIGN

ACHE design is carried out using the latest version of Aspen (V8.8), to create a thermal design compatible with customer requirements for Lube Oil cooling.

Initially, a data sheet and basic plot plan is produced to give the customer an overall view of the cooler design to match their Lube Oil Cooling needs.

Once ordered, a detailed 3D model using Symetri Autodesk Inventor Professional 2016 is produced, along with all detailed drawings and BOM’s (Bill of Material), required to manufacture the Cooler.

Coolers are designed in strict accordance of ASME Section VIII Div 1, 2013 Ed & Standard API 661 7th Ed.

All Pressure Vessel calculations are approved and signed off by Lloyds register and the coolers are ASME certified. Also to compliment the pressure vessel calculations, detailed FEA is carried out on the Header Boxes (pressure vessels) of the ACHE and of the supporting structure in various loading conditions, as laid out in API 661 7TH Ed.
